About the event
Learn the essentials and more of vegan kimchi making and make your own to take home with you!
This 2 hour hands-on workshop will provide you with the skills and knowledge to make your own at home, and will assist you as you create your own kimchi to take home with you. The small group size of this class will allow for lots of in-depth discussion and question time.
Everything you'll need is provided in the workshop, including:
- 2 mason jars with fermenting weights and airlocks
- a variety of local and organic vegetables, herbs, seasonings, and salt to use in your creations
- tools, bowls, etc
- lots of time for Q&A
Fermented kimchi samples will be available for taste-testing, and fermented non-alcoholic beverages will keep you hydrated as you work!
IMPORTANT: We are hosting this class in our on-farm fermenting kitchen. Please wear comfortable, clean shoes and be prepared to stand up while working, as space constraints won't allow for seating.
Tickets are non-refundable, but option to reschedule in the event of weather or illness, at the discretion of the workshop host.
